Institution building

Institution building of women is one of the core programs of BNPS, which includes three tires of group formation, micro groups or Shamiti at the grassroots level, area committee comprising 3-4 Shamities and broader federating groups at union/ward level. The main idea of institution building is to develop self-help organization of women with mobilization capacity and right consciousness as well as to strengthen the unity of grassroots level poor women to work together in a view to overcome their problems. Development Education     

Development Education emphasize on raising awareness of grassroots poor women as well as male members of the group members families, local youths, community leaders, local government representatives, and other members of the civil society group at the local level. Legal Awareness and Legal Aid

Protecting women rights and raise awareness of women on their constitutional and legal rights are the main objective of Legal Assistance Program of BNPS. Through this program BNPS provides legal education among group members, legal support to poor women, organize workshop on legal issues, conduct study on policy issues and facilitate alternative dispute regulation. In significant cases of women rights violation, BNPS also extends its legal support among the people in general irrespective of their target people.

BNPS organizes workshop on issues like Women Trafficking, Fatwa against Women, Uniform Family Code, citizenship and Inheritance Law.

Disaster Management and Environment Development

Disaster management, environment development as essential parts of the awareness initiatives. BNPS facilitate disaster management groups, encourage tree plantation and provide emergency and rehabilitation supports during and after any disaster.

Bangladesh being suffering frequent disaster, poor and women are hard hit by the loss. To minimize the loss and suffering BNPS consider facilitating formulation of Disaster Management plan and regularly organizing disaster management courses for the group leaders are some program of BNPS.
